Kokoda 2023

Help me create a mentally healthier world!

I'm standing up to join Team Black Dog to turn ground breaking research into life saving action.

Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families, workplaces and communities.

I'm inspired by the work of Black Dog Institute and want to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Black Dog Institute's Hike for Mental Health: Kokoda 2023.

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can.

The more people that know about Black Dog Institute, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot to so many!

My Updates

Thursday 19th Jan
As a former paramedic/helicopter crewman I have been witness to the ravages of depression/PTSD. This is a way to raise funds and awareness of incredible organisations like the Black Dog, who help save minds and lives. For me personally it is an opportunity to pay respect for my colleagues who could no longer fight their demons and chose the big sleep. To those living in the pit, never lose hope, find your strength to climb out and embrace the incredible future that is patiently sitting at the top of the hole waiting for you.
