Kokoda 2023

Help me create a mentally healthier world!

I'm standing up to join Team Black Dog to turn ground breaking research into life saving action.

Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families, workplaces and communities.

I'm inspired by the work of Black Dog Institute and want to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Black Dog Institute's Hike for Mental Health: Kokoda 2023.

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can.

The more people that know about Black Dog Institute, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot to so many!

Sunshine Coast Kokoda Challenge 30km Event

Tuesday 16th May

Update

Tuesday 16th May
Well there is just under 6 months until we leave, and I have officially raised just over half of my goal. Extremely happy with that. Going to keep smashing the fundraisers though, and raise as much as I can for this wonderful charity.
Training has been going well. Having already committed to the local Kokoda Challenge here in QLD, a lot of effort is going into being prepared for those events. I have already completed the Sunshine Coast 30km. The Brisbane 48km is in 3 weeks, and the ultimate challenge of 96km is in 9 weeks. If I survive all that, I’ll be well placed for our November trip to PNG. I have a big training session planned for this weekend, should complete about 36km. Anyway, things are looking good. Just need to start buying some gear for the trip, flights and travel insurance is already ticked off the list.
