You might know that I work for Black Dog Institute and I talk to passionate fundraisers daily who are impacted by mental illness or have lost loved ones to suicide.
Now its my turn to fundraise and I will be doing this with my own family and friends in mind because like so many, mental health has played a big part in my life and community around me.
This November, I will be doing a 4 day trek to Cradle Mountain in Tasmania. This trek will be a challenge for me, as I have anxiety and struggle to step outside my comfort zone.
Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with suicide being the leading cause of death in young people aged 15 - 24.
Your donations will support the incredible work that Black Dog Institute does in Mental Health research. I'm inspired by their work and can see the impact they make first hand to support a mentally healthier Australia.
