Getting started
There are two ways to get involved as a business.
Join our Retailers Doing Good program
This is for businesses who can make a long term fundraising commitment as an official Retailer Doing Good.
As part of the program, we have a couple of conditions. We ask that you:
- commit to donating a portion of your sales or profits for at least 12 months
- transfer all funds by the end of each financial year.
This kind of commitment is one of the most meaningful ways to support Black Dog’s life-changing research, education programs and mental health services.

Setup a short-term fundraiser
If you’re not sure if you can commit to at least 12 months, that’s totally fine. We would still love your support.
Create your own fundraising page online and just tell us more about what you’re planning when you register.
Lucas’ Meaningful Moment
Lucas has centred his business around promoting and raising funds for mental health, a cause close to his heart.
“I have struggled with depression and anxiety for most of my life (My Black Dog), so when I started my business and found the Black Dog Institute, it immediately felt like the perfect fit.”
Lucas created ‘My Black Dog Candles’ and decided to donate $1 from every candle sold.
By supporting Black Dog Institute through his business, Lucas aims to reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness.
“We’ve come a long way since I was diagnosed in the 90’s.
My hope is that we continue to raise awareness, complete research and ensure nobody ever feels alone."
