Spreading sunshine for mental health and suicide awareness
This November, we come together to remember Ethan and the light he brought to so many lives. Since his passing in February, sunflowers have become a symbol of his warmth, his spirit, and the love that continues to surround him.
To honour Ethan and raise awareness about mental health and suicide prevention, we’re hosting a 5km fun run/walk along Williamstown beach on Sunday 9 November at 9am. It’s an opportunity for friends, family, and the broader community to unite, enjoy the outdoors, and reflect together — all while supporting an important cause. Further details will be announced shortly.
Mental health challenges affect 1 in 5 Australians every year, and tragically, too many lives — like Ethan’s — are lost to suicide. The impact is profound and far-reaching.
That’s why I’m getting active and raising funds for the Black Dog Institute — to support vital research, education, and support services for those affected by mental illness and suicide.
As I take on this challenge, I’m doing it in Ethan’s memory, and for everyone who’s struggling. Together, we can help spark hope, raise awareness, and change lives.
Every bit counts — please donate if you can. Thank you.
