Ever thought what it is like to be a Sideline God?

Well now you can join the club with this exclusive T-shirt on sale only at this Sunday's Hope Challenge.

Here is the text that you hear when you phone in to the touch football Sideline Gods phone line:

Good day and thank you for contacting the wing.

Your call is important to us but all our friendly staff are busy right now making mud pies on the sidelines. Please select one of the following options:

Press 1 for a blistering display of sideline running

Press 2 for a last second switch to the inside

Press 3 to catch a high ball coming out of the sun

Press 4 to snatch a grass grubber at pace

Press 5 for a speccy slide-in try

Press 6 to step in and show the half back how to do it

Something else? No problem, simply put your request to: sidelinegods@touch.com.au and we will respond during the half time break.

Please also check our FAQ page at:stfubackline.com.au.

Thank you for your continued patronage and  please continue to be dazzled by our brilliance.

Silent Auction during the day

Thursday 24th Aug
The initial reason for The Hope Challenge was to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute in memory of our touch footy mate Dr. Rick Hope.

Beside family and possibly his medical profession, Rick's other great love was the Parramatta Eels Rugby League team.

This year that team have come to the party and have provided two tickets to its Director's Club lounge for an Eels home game in season 2024.

A fantastic prize that is up for Silent Auction during the day on Sunday August 27.
Another reason for you to be there!

Auctions and Raffles on the day

Tuesday 22nd Aug
There will be a Silent Auction running during the day with two excellent prizes up for grabs.
These tickets can not be bought:
2x Director's Club entries to any Parramatta Eels game in NRL season 2024
Dr Rick Hope's beloved Eels - and you could be there cheering them on from the comfort of the Director's Club.
Kindly donated by Parramatta Eels Football Club.
Plus:
1x LG 8-bottle wine fridge valued at $499
Kindly donated by the Beard family.
Get down to the game to fill in your bid and let's see how you go at the close of play - 5pm.

Less than one week to go - register NOW!

Monday 21st Aug
Next Sunday (August 27) is the fifth running of this event.

Family Fun Day with a purpose

Wednesday 16th Aug

The Hope Challenge

Working to make the black dog stand in its white dog shadow

The Hope Challenge plans to do four things:
1. Pay respect to our friends living with mental health issues with a fun day the whole community can enjoy
2. Raise money for the Black Dog Institute for research into mental disorders
3. Raise awareness among the general public about mental health injuries
4. Hopefully show other sufferers the disease does not define them; they are still and always will be a loved and needed family member, friend and member of their own local community.

Our logo is designed to highlight point 4. The black dog is dwarfed by its white dog 'shadow'.  The Hope Challenge hopes all those living with a mental health issue come to realise that the injury they suffer is but one part of what makes them human. The white dog symbolises the support that is readily available from medical professionals to loved ones, family, friends and the wider community.

Always strive for Hope, that is the Challenge.

Registration

Wednesday 16th Aug

The Hope Challenge is a fun community event full of entertainment for the whole family, running all day to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of mental illness while raising funds for the Black Dog Institute.
The Hope Challenge is an 8-hour touch football marathon - held from 9am to 5pm on Sunday 27 August 2023 at Lofberg Oval, West Pymble.  Registered players can run on and off the field at any time during those 8 hours.
All ages, all sexes, all abilities are welcome. Previous games have seen ages from 7 to 75!
Over $100,000 has been raised so far by The Hope Challenge and the wonderful local community.
