Help me create a mentally healthier world
Rick Warren, Founder of We Make a Difference is completing a 24-day bike ride across the Nullarbor from Perth to Adelaide to fundraise for four different charities, one of which being Black Dog Institute.
The We Make a Difference Nullarbor ride will run as a 24-day bike ride averaging 140km per day. Not only is the trip demanding but has been the months of training preparation prior to the trip.
Black Dog Institute is a not-for-profit facility for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mood disorders such as depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder.
1 in 5 Australians experience mental illness in any given year, and about half of all people will experience mental health problems at some stage in their life.
The Black Dog Institute is working to reduce the incidence of mental illness and the stigma around it, as well as actively reduce suicide rates. Your donation will help the organisation develop research and tools for a mentally healthier world.
Donations from the ride will go towards creating better resources and the ongoing research of mental health in Australia, for better support service availability for those in need.
What is We Make a Difference
We Make a Difference is an online savings and donations program that helps members and customers save money while supporting charities and organisations in their community.
