1000 Miles to Get Your Head Straight Fundraiser
I've wrestled with the black dog since I was a kid and after decades of not dealing with it, physical exercise, particularly riding a push bike, is the best thing I've found as an ongoing tool. Mental health is still shrouded in stigma and criminally underfunded on a policy level, and the Black Dog Institute is an amazing, practical and science based service that does lots of good work picking up the slack where the government's dropped the ball. I'm riding my bike from the north coast of NSW to the south coast and making a documentary for GoPro about the many varied ways people deal with their own head noise, so I figured I may as well raise some funds for an amazing organisation as I go.
