Help us create a mentally healthier world!
Eye Contact Theatre Company is standing up to join Team Black Dog to turn ground breaking research into life saving action.
In April of 2022, Eye Contact is presenting Laura Wade's Breathing Corpses at Kings Cross Theatre.
Breathing Corpses is a delicate yet brutal look at the effects of death on a person and their relationships, and their grappling to understand mortality and morality after their world has been changed forever. It is a play that sensitively explores and exposes the mental health of its seven characters, and through this the play holds great power to educate, inspire and provoke change.
Because of this, Eye Contact has chosen to partner with and support Black Dog Institute.
Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families, workplaces and communities.
Donations will be directed towards education and awareness activities and supporting innovative research into new clinical solutions for all Australians. You are helping Black Dog raise vital funds for:
- World-class research into mental illness and suicide prevention
- High-quality clinical care and online treatments
- Evidence-based education programs for health professionals and schools
