Chopping off my beloved locks to raise some money for a good cause.
I'm sure you all know that the opinions on my hair range from extremely positive (my own) to extremely negative (the rest of the population with taste). Well today is your lucky day rest of the population, because this head is getting shaved for charity!
As most of you know I have struggled with depression and am fortunate to have an amazing support network to help me through the hard times. Most people aren't as fortunate as me, particularly men because society has conflated masculinity with stoicism and men often don't feel like they can ask for help.
Please help out however you can! The locks are coming off on Sunday the 2nd of January to ring in the new year. I'll live stream if I can, photos shall be taken and it should be a barrel of laughs. COVID pending, I'll set up in a chair in my parents front yard and you can come around and hack a bunch off with scissors!
These two years have been difficult financially for a lot of people. Please don't feel the need to donate if you are struggling in any way, but I would ask that you reach out to someone you may not have heard from in a while, just to have a chat and see how they are doing. One of those discussions likely saved my life in my mid 20s so you could be that person for someone else.
