On Friday 14 January I'll be going 24 hours without uttering a single word. Anyone who knows me, knows this is a challenge, but it's a small thing in comparison to the millions of people who suffer from mental illness each and every day... and feel like they can't talk about it.
Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families, workplaces and communities.
