Help me help prevent more fallen loved ones

I'm doing something to help Black Dog

Hi all,

My name is Dillon, also known as Dilly or Doogsy. I am seen as a son, brother, father and friend. Unfortunately, a friend that has lost loved ones to the black dog. I have always tried my best to be there for my mates but sometimes the black dog is stronger, and that's where I want to help in my own way.

For some time, I have been wondering how I can help, not just my friends that suffer from anxiety and depression, but anyone who battles them. I would like to do a fundraiser to raise awareness in a way that may seem out of the norm. I would like to fundraise with shaving my beard off and where possible offering the clippers to the highest donator. 

Now you might just be thinking “eh, its just a beard…..” Well this beard is more than that. Over the last 5 years its been a stable part of my life as it hasn’t changed other than grow. Sometimes that’s what someone needs to ground and grow themselves. There are people in my circle of life that don’t know me without a beard, including my two sons who don’t know their father without the face fuzz of chin ticklers.  

With this beard, I hope to raise some funds to fight against the ongoing battle of mental heath and to help those in need.  In the coming weeks I hope to find a venue to host this great “clip off” and gathering of like-minded people.
