North Coast Tri Club are standing up to join Team
Black Dog to turn ground breaking research into life saving action.
Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every
year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t
discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families,
workplaces and communities.
In the last 18 months, us in triathlon, have seen
our sport exponentially with many people in our direct community reaching out
to form connections with people that, due to COVID restrictions, they wouldn't
otherwise have!
Unfortunately, now more so than ever, many of us
know someone who is experiencing some kind of battle with mental illness. Lets
come together to raise awareness about this, funds towards the research of this
and camaraderie around the people who are suffering, to let them know they ARE
NOT ALONE!
