Singing for the Silent

Everyone needs a hand throughout their life. Regardless of whether you are young or old, 1 in 5 of us will experience symptoms of mental illness at any given year. That means with 5 million people living in Australia, that's around 60% of people who cannot seek help. These people could be your classmates, teachers, family, and best friends who silently suffer, afraid to break this silence with a cry. Our school is asking for you to join us in an event; “Singing for the Silent”, to raise awareness and funds for the Black Dog Institute - who provide medical research, clinical services and programs for those suffering throughout Australia. A challenge will be given to our school community, with every fundraising goal raised is met with the unlocking of a lip sync show by different teachers and your favourite leadership team! Our goal is to raise $500, with all funds being donated to the Black Dog Institute, and who knows what staff members will get their boogie on stage when we pass that mark!
