Help me make it meaningful
Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.
Mental illness has impacted my family, friends and myself all throughout my life. These impacts have been large and small but have all effective lives in one way or another. My father's passing has allowed me to truely recognise the importance of looking out for others and yourself. No one should have to experience the harsh reality of mental illness whether it is in regards to themselves or the people around them.
In order to celebrate my 17th birthday, I want to raise money for the Black Dog institute to provide finances for mental health research and support services. My current goal is to raise $6209.25 (17 years) whether that is achievable or not, any donation will make a large impact on someones life.
