For Dad
In August of 2017 my Dad decided to end his fight with depression that he had been enduring in silence because he thought that his mental health was something men just have to deal with on their own. So for the month of September I will be participating in Black Dog Institutes Mullets for Mental Health fundraiser for him, to break that stigma and to show men all over that it ain't weak to speak.
I will be holding the fundraising up until the last day of September when I will be getting the mullet for the last day of school and for the school break. So please, any donations help no matter how small towards a worthy cause.
1 in 5 of us will experience symptoms of mental illness in any given year. In Australia that’s around 5 million people. And roughly 60% of these people won’t seek help.
Please donate and support the cause and empower everyone in Australia to look after their mental health.
