Help me make it meaningful

In memory of my beautiful Mum who lost her battle with mental health in 2020 I will be completing 31 hours of exercise in 31 days for the month of May.

I’ve suffered for most of my life with anxiety and was always in denial about my own mental health. After my mums passing, my mental health suffered. I was fortunate that I was supported by my family and sought help that put me back on the right path, and I’ve never felt better about myself.

Talking about your mental health can be extremely difficult, and I think if you ever have doubts about how you are feeling, you should speak to someone. Whether it be a close friend, a family member or a professional, know that you’re not alone and there is always someone willing to listen.

Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it but for those around them.

That’s why I’m getting active and raising funds for the Black Dog Institute - to support crucial mental health research and support services that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

Smashed out a 45 minute weight session!

Day 30 - Double Rumble

Smashed out a double rumble! 1.5 hours

GOAL ACHIEVED

After 29 days I managed to achieve my goal of 31 hours of exercise (currently sitting at 31 hours and 45 minutes) But I won’t stop now with still 2 days to go!

Day 29 - Boxing and Aerial Silks

Tuesday 30th May
Smashed out a 45 minute boxing session in the morning and an hour of aerial silks in the evening

Day 28 - Soccer

Sunday 28th May
Played a 90 minute game of soccer and we got the win 3-2

Day 27 - boxing on the beach

Sunday 28th May
Early morning 45 minute rumble session. Then we headed to the beach and smashed out a 90 minute workout

Day 24 - conditioning session

Wednesday 24th May
A 45 minute conditioning session!

Day 23 - Boxing & Soccer

Wednesday 24th May
A nice 45 minute boxing session in the morning and a soccer game in the afternoon.

Day 21 - 1.5 hour walk

Tuesday 23rd May
1.5 hours of walking around port douglas

Day 20 - 1 hour walk

Saturday 20th May
Trail walk to Trinity Bay lookout in Port Douglas

Day 19 - 1 hour Walk

1 hour walk around Port Douglas

Day 17 - Fierce Strength

Wednesday 17th May
Smashed out a 45 minute Fierce Strength class. Officially over half way with a total of 19 hours and 15 minutes of excercise!

Day 16 - Double Rumble

Wednesday 17th May
Smashed out a double rumble boxing session! 90 minutes total

Day 15 - Aerial Silks

Monday 15th May
1 hour of Aerial Silks!

Day 12 - Fighting Fit

Smashed out a 45 minute Fighting Fit session.

Completed a 90 minute soccer game, unfortunately it was a lose of 4-1

Day 6 - Triple Session Saturday!

Saturday 6th May
Awesome way to start your Saturday morning with a triple session of boxing. 2 hours and 15 minutes total 🙌🏻

Day 5 - Fighting Fit Class

Friday 5th May
An awesome day to smash out a 45 minute Fighting Fit Class💪🏽

Day 4 - Boxing & Soccer

Thursday 4th May
Smashed out a great 40 minute boxing session then drove to soccer training and completed an 80 minute run around

Day 3 - 1 hour Gym

Wednesday 3rd May
Headed to Gunnedah for work and managed to squeeze in a 1 hour gym session

Day 2 - Rumble Session

Tuesday 2nd May
An awesome afternoon to do a double Rumble boxing session!
