Help me make it meaningful
Ten years ago I lost a very special person whom suffered with their mental health, so in honour of him, I’m committing to practicing 30 minutes of yoga each day for the month of April and raising funds for the Black Dog Institute.
Donations raised will go towards supporting crucial mental health research and services that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.
We all know someone who suffers or has suffered quietly so I know this is close to many hearts, I hope this opens up a conversation and is a reminder to check in or speak up.
