Help me make it meaningful
On Sunday August 17th, 2025, we lost our beloved son Jet to suicide after his long and courageous battle with Borderline Personality Disorder and Paranoid Schizophrenia.
He was only 21.
These diagnoses were part of his journey, but they did not define who Jet was — a kind, funny, passionate young man who loved Cars, Family, Music, and bringing people together. He was always the first to take the shirt off his back even when he was struggling.
His loss is a reminder that mental health is real, powerful, and often silent.
In Jet’s honour, we are proud to launch the first Chasing the Light — Jet’s Memorial Poker Run, to be held on Sunday, 10 May 2026 at Kurrimine Beach. The event will bring together Car Enthusiasts, Families, and the Community for a meaningful day of remembrance and support because we know we are not alone.
All proceeds will go to Black Dog Institute, an organisation dedicated to advancing mental health research, education, and support — so that other families don’t have to face what ours has endured and live with an empty seat at our table.
