I lost my best friend and little brother in December 2021. I am trying to rebuild my own mental health in memory of them. If I am going to live when they can't, I want to try and do it well. Moving my body has had a profound positive impact on my mental health. I have decided to start a fitness journey and climb Mt Fuji in the lead up to October's Mental Health month. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.
That’s why I’m getting active and raising funds for the Black Dog Institute - to support crucial mental health research and support services that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

Back from holidays!
Wednesday 16th Aug Back from holidays and attempted a run today. Managed to run 1.3km, 10 minutes. I then walked for another 30 minutes. Tomorrow I will try again! Share
RUN
Thursday 27th Jul So I managed to run for 1.5km (10 minutes) last night haha yep, definitely need to keep trying and keep it consistent. I walked an extra 1.5km. I'll be trying again tonight! After long days, I definitely felt the mental shift after trying. Share
Making a move!
Monday 24th Jul I’m trying to move my body more in prep for the climb! Tonight I did a small workout followed by a 40 minute walk. Had a really long day at home with the kids, so I really needed that reset. I think tomorrow I’ll try for a run! ShareThank you to my Sponsors
