100km for Mental Health
I'm standing up to join Team Black Dog to turn ground breaking research into life saving action.
Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families, workplaces and communities.
During September I will be running 100km to help raise money for Black Dog Institute, an organisation who adopt a unique research based approach, open up pathways in support of and open conversations for people affected by mental illness.
Over the month of September I will be working towards my goal of 100km to help support those who have sadly lost loved ones to a mental illness. I want to support individuals who have gone through or are going through a challenging time.
For this, I will be moving my body in respect to people around Australia and hopefully encourage someone's mate, family member or person passing you to open up and taking steps towards a supportive conversation.
I would really appreciate your support in donating to the institute. Thank you for helping me and others.
