My name is Isabel (Izzy) Spooner,
From today – December 31st I will be joining the Black Dog Institute.
My goal this year is to not just raise awareness, but also raise money for mental health research, education and programs.
Mental health can impact all of us, whether it be ourselves, family members, friends and even the person you sit next to on the bus. This subject is very close to my heart after having people I really love and care about effected by mental health conditions.
We have improved over the years to raise awareness and reduce the stigma, but we still need to get better at it.
For every $5 I raise, I will run or swim 1km. All donations big or small will help. If you cannot donate, that is okay! Sharing this post and/or raising awareness, will help more than you know.
Please help The Black Dog Institute and I create a mentally healthier world for everyone.
EDIT: Due to shin splints, i will be mainly swimming, rowing and cycling the km’s. I will still be putting in 110% effort and will occasionally run when I can! 🤍🤍🤍
