Running Miles for Mental Health
A broken foot set me back a little bit this year with running, so this year’s "Fun Run" will be a 100 mile race through the Victorian Alps in November this year.
Great Southern Endurance Run (GSER) is claimed to be the hardest miler in the Southern Hemisphere with almost 11000m of vert over 165km (Mt Everest is 8,849m).
It’s going to be tough on the body, and tough on the mind – but I can’t think of a better organisation to raise money for whilst I train and run this race.
It’s going
to mean a lot of early nights, and even earlier mornings (3am starts), and a
scoop of ice-cream in my morning coffee perfectly justified for the next 6 weeks 😊
The race commences November 11.
