Help me make it meaningful
'A Different Life', tells the life of a young man living with Schizophrenia and Schizo-Affective Disorder who grapples with suicidal ideations every single day. Through his story, we aimed to combat the stigmas and vilification of mental health, particularly Schizophrenia, and provide an insight into the daily struggles of someone living with a complex mental health diagnosis. We also sought to create a beacon of relatability to other mental health sufferers who might feel seen and heard with Jonathan's story. The feedback we have received post launch has been heart-warming.
We and Jonathan, the author, are deeply committed to sharing this story with the world to create positive change, even if it is as simple as promoting more understanding around living with mental health. We feel aligned with the vital work that the Black Dog Institute does in advancing mental health research, education, and treatment. To that end, we would like to donate a portion of all proceeds from the book sales to the Black Dog Institute.
