My story
Mental health is something incredibly close to my heart, especially over the last six years. When I was 17, I was struggling to process the emotions associated with losing someone to suicide. Experiencing those feelings myself was hard, but seeing the impact it had on my friends made it even harder. It was a heartbreaking reminder that mental illness doesn’t discriminate, and it was deeply affecting so many of us.
As we tried to navigate such devastating times, I believe we learnt to open up about our struggles more than we ever had before. I learnt that there’s so much support out there when you need it. Whether it is just speaking to friends or family, getting the courage to go to therapy, or starting medication, there are ways to get help. And you will never be alone.
So - 63kms. For every loved one that we’ve lost to suicide. For myself.
Every cent will be greatly appreciated 💛
