After experiencing a difficult period in my life and feeling the weight of that pain, I realised I didn’t want anyone else to go through what I did if I could help it. Lacking the tools to cope with trauma at the time, I had to learn them, and now I’m determined to ensure that the next generation has those tools from the start. This will help them navigate the challenges they will inevitably face in life with greater resilience.
I’d like to express my gratitude to my family, friends, workplace, and the health professionals who supported me during that tough time. Having come out on the other side, I’m happier than ever. Sometimes, facing adversity makes us stronger and points us toward the path we’re truly meant to take. Occasionally, we have to hit rock bottom to see things more clearly, and while difficult things happen, they often lead to greater things in the end.

Push up Challenge - The Mindful Miner
Sunday 19th Jan I’ll be doing 100 pushups every day for a month to raise awareness and funds for mental health. The money raised will go directly to the Black Dog Institute, a medical research organisation dedicated to improving mental health worldwide. Having personally struggled with anxiety and depression, I understand how vital it is to keep raising awareness and having open conversations about mental health. I’m not just asking for donations, but for everyone to continue talking about these important issues.Share
