Mount Druitt Masters Golf Day

Help me make it meaningful

Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.

That’s why I’m hosting my very own event, to raise funds for the Black Dog Institute. Every dollar raised will support crucial mental health research and support services that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

Help me create a meaningful moment for mental health, all for a great cause.

Everyone knows someone who has been or is affected by mental health issues and/or suicide.

Let’s change the narrative!!!

What a success

Monday 26th May
Amazing success. The golf was great fun. The chat in the clubhouse was awesome. But the best thing of all was the support we received from everyone in attendance.

We were able to raise some extra donations throughout the day and a little top up from the raffles at the end.

I’d just like to thank everyone who was involved in making this day into what it became. Thanks to our sponsors, Elders killara feedlot, Pursehouse Rural Quirindi, Sugarplum Quirindi, Tim Hoswell Constructions, Aztec Construstions, B2signs and MJS Welding. The support of these businesses allowed us to give out some great prizes for the days events, which were greatly appreciated by all the competitors in attendance.

I’d also like to thank Golf at Club Quirindi(Quirndi RSL golf club) especially Gordy Brownhill (club captain), for allowing us to hold this event for such a worthy cause. We will be back again next year, hopefully bigger and better!!

And last but definitely not least…. All the lads that are part of the Mount Druitt Dockers Cricket Club(Quirindi). We couldn’t have done it without all of you sourcing sponsors, signage, prizes etc.

So as I bid you a fond farewell, I will just say for one last time, there is help. We’re all here with open arms and ears, or just to sit in silence. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Don’t for one minute feel like you’re alone.

Thanks guys 😉🥹

$200 reached!!!

Thursday 22nd May
Amazing!!! Already have reached our modest total of $200. So, what else is there to do but aim bigger!! Let’s see if we can hit the $300 mark.

Thank to all our donors. Your contribution is much appreciated.

Let’s not forget though, it’s not about the money raised, but more about the conversations we start!! Let’s change the narrative about mental health and normalise talking and helping those who are struggling.

Every conversation you have could prevent another life being needlessly lost.

Great start!!
