Black Dog Institute is the only medical research institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan, their aim is to create a mentally healthier world for everyone.

 

They do this through ‘translational’ research. Integrating their research studies, education programs, digital tools and apps, clinical services, and public resources to discover new solutions, foster connections and create real-world change.

 

Their partnerships with people with lived experience, federal, state and local governments, communities, schools, corporate Australia and others in the mental health sector enables us to drive evidence-informed change in mental health where it’s needed most.

In memory of our loved one, friend and mate and colleague, Michael.

Saturday 5th Feb
On 26.1.2022 we learnt that Michael decided that he couldn't do it anymore and took his own life. Michael had special meaning to us all, his family, friends and work colleagues and he will be missed terribly by all. 
Michael battled with mental health issues from a young age and despite this he always smiled, cared for people, made us laugh - he was one of the kindest people you could meet.
We was a valued member of our work team, and a friend as well. 
Michael, we are devastated that you reached the point where you could no longer fight and had to let go of this world to find peace. Rest easy young man.
