1 in 5 individuals will experience a mental illness in any given year.

1 in 5... And out of those friends or family members, over half don’t access treatment. FACT.
If you've made it this far with me you may as well log into PayPal with your Face ID because I'm about to tell you some hard truths.
We spend literally every waking minute saturated in information, and I know you're sitting there going 'Nah I'm the exception'-trust me if you've taken your phone to the toilet you're not.
Mental Health is suffocating people. It's literally the worst it's ever been and people can't actually access treatment because our systems are drowning in tragedy.
Anxiety, Depression, Suicide, Bipolar, Mood Disorders we all know them. So why not talk about it. I get it, I’m this 5’3 Melbourne chick who created an Instagram account for her puppy and now wants you to converse... like with another human being...
I've spent a lot of time trying to work out what to say here, probably burned a hole in the backspace button but here it is.
This August I am covering 100kms to raise awareness for mental health and suicide. A topic that is raised but often neglected out of convenience and accompanied by this phrase-'life just got in the way'.
As a 24 year old I'm probably afraid to admit it, but life is always going to be in the way. That's the point. It pushes you to understand the value in kindness and show up for people when it counts.
I am pleading with you, now it really counts. If you can make a contribution do it. If you can share a post. Do it. If you can start a conversation. Please just do it.
This sh*t matters and if it takes a little puppy account to reach you then we have a touch down.
