In memory of a loved one
The last few years have been the hardest of my life. Losing Kate, the love of my life, has led to some dark times. The Black Dog Institute, their mental health support services and the friendships I have made through many events/rides I have participated in, have provided great comfort, perspective and tools to face sometimes just daily life. I would love to give back and help continue their essential services. And give back to a service that, beside my people, has honestly kept me going.
Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.
Black Dog Institute is the only medical research institute in Australia to investigate mental health across the lifespan. Their aim is to create a mentally healthier world for everyone.
