Opening up the conversation

Why I’m fundraising for Black Dog Institute 💙

Mental health is something I’ve been passionate about for many years. Through my work in mental health, supporting adults and now working with children in an education setting, I’ve seen just how important it is to have open, honest conversations about mental health.

I’ve also had the privilege of loving and caring for people close to me who have their own battles with mental health. It’s something I never want anyone to feel ashamed of or like they have to face alone.

I believe strongly in breaking down the stigma, making mental health conversations feel normal, creating safe spaces where people can talk without judgement, and helping people know that it’s okay to not be okay.

That’s why I’ve chosen to fundraise for the Black Dog Institute. Their work in mental health research, prevention and treatment is incredibly important, and I’d love to help contribute to it. 🐾💙

If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. If donating isn’t possible, sharing my fundraiser can help just as much by spreading awareness.

Thank you for supporting something that means so much to me. 💙

Let’s keep talking, keep listening, and keep creating spaces where mental health can be spoken about without shame. 🫶
