Help me make it meaningful

Dubbo2Hunter Valley Z2Z ride

After the magnificent experience in New Zealand in January and the Melbourne2Dubbo Z2Z ride in March, the final ride in 2025 is happening in September 19-21. There are 25 riders plus support crew riding through the beautiful Central West from Dubbo Zoo and finishing the ride on Sunday at the Hunter Valley Information Centre.

The purpose of these rides is to raise awareness of mental health issues and suicide prevention, whilst raising funds for the Black Dog Institute to continue their important education and research programs. The Z2Z rides are a great opportunity to raise awareness and help others. We all strive to help others. Meaning in life comes out of what we do for others; we understand that our prime purpose in life is to help others.

Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. In Australia 9 people per day commit suicide; mostly young men. In the age group 15 - 44 the highest cause of death is suicide. These statistics are terrible and the impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.

The funds raised for the Black Dog Institute on this ride support crucial mental health research, support services and education programs that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

Help me create a meaningful moment for mental health as I work up a sweat on the bike, all for a great cause.

Please donate. Thank you.
