Help me make it meaningful

Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.

That’s why I’m getting active and raising funds for the Black Dog Institute - to support crucial mental health research and support services that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

Help me create a meaningful moment for mental health as I work up a sweat, all for a great cause.

Please donate now. Thank you.

My Why

I’m doing this because I want to see what I’m really made of — not when things are easy, but when everything hurts and quitting would be the easier way out. I want to stand face to face with my limits and keep going — not to prove anything to anyone else, but to push my limits further than possible.

This isn’t about a time or a distance. It’s about making a choice — to take on something no one asked me to do, something most wouldn’t even consider — and to finish it with heart. I want to strip everything back and see what’s left when comfort is gone, when doubts creep in, and when every step demands something deeper.

I want to explore the edge of who I am — not just to test my endurance, but to learn more about myself. About how I respond when everything’s on the line. About who I am when no one’s watching. This run is about growth, resilience, and choosing to step into discomfort, because that’s where real transformation begins.

And beyond my own journey, I’m running to support mental health — to stand for those who face battles most people never see. For anyone who’s ever felt overwhelmed, alone, or ready to give up. I want this run to show that even in the darkest, most painful moments, there is strength, there is hope, and there is a way forward. If this effort helps even one person believe that, every step will have mattered.

One day, I’ll tell the story of this run — not just the kilometres, but the grit, the doubt, the people who showed up, and the version of myself I found along the way. That’s the story I want to live. That’s the kind of person I’m choosing to become.

That’s my why. That’s the story I’m writing with every step.
