The team behind ABC television’s docuseries ’Space 22’ have collaborated with Artereal Gallery to present a unique fundraising exhibition.
Gracing the gallery walls for a limited time only, the pop-up exhibition will be short and sweet and is the perfect opportunity to support Black Dog Institute and its research into Mental Health Awareness and Management.
Featuring artworks by the ABC Space 22 participants, Archibald prize winners Wendy Sharpe and Blak Douglas, multi-Archibald nominees Abdul Abdullah and Laura Jones, and our very own Noula Diamantopoulos – an Artereal artist who featured prominently in Space 22 as the psychotherapist and artist.
All proceeds from the artwork and ticket sales will be donated to the Black Dog Institute. Also included in the exhibition are artworks by Artereal artists Patrizia Biondi, Lionel Bawden, Sam Holt, Owen Leong, Ebony Russell and Louise Zhang as well as award-winning artists Jason Phu, Belem Lett and others. Artereal would like to thank the community of artists for their generous donations.
Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families, workplaces and communities.
