Brewing Hope

Help me make it meaningful

This year on Thursday September 10th is World Suicide Prevention Day. The aim of WSPD is to raise global awareness that suicide is preventable.

In 2024, 3,307 Australians died by suicide, making it the 16th highest cause of death.

Would you see me before my limit?

Or do I have to become a statistic?

(Flatline, Citizen Soldier)

The key goals of WSPD is to:

Raise Awareness: Shift public perception from silence and stigma to openness and understanding
.
Share Hope: Show people who are struggling that support systems and help are available.
Encourage Action: Prompt governments and communities to build strong mental health policies and improve access to care.
Remember Lives: Honor individuals lost to suicide and support those who are grieving.

Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.

That’s why I’m raising funds for the Black Dog Institute, to support crucial mental health research and support services that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.

Help me create a meaningful moment for mental health, all for a great cause.

Please donate now. Thank you.
