Help me make it meaningful
Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.
That’s why I’m getting active and raising funds for the Black Dog Institute - to support crucial mental health research and support services that help Australians impacted by mental illness and suicide.
Help me create a meaningful moment for mental health as I work up a sweat, all for a great cause.
Please donate now. Thank you.

The Drive
Saturday 11th OctI am undertaking this triathlon journey to challenge myself, raise awareness, and fundraise for mental health. I have lost friends to suicide and have faced my own struggles with mental health when I was younger. Growing up running track, I learned early how physical activity could help me process difficult emotions, build community, and push myself outside my comfort zone.
Over the years, I bulked up in the gym and, at times, tried to avoid the discomfort of hard training, not realising that embracing discomfort was the path to true growth and inner peace. Avoiding it meant I often held back from giving my all to the important things in my life, my work, my relationships, romantic and otherwise, and neglected the difficult internal work of healing.
Through this triathlon, I am recommitting to discomfort, discipline, and movement, swimming, biking, and running as metaphors for persistence and resilience. I am also recommitting to honest conversations, meditation, showing love to others, and deepening my connection with God. Each kilometre represents hope, healing, and the reminder that mental health matters, for ourselves, for our friends, and for our communities.
