Help me make it meaningful
In 2026 I will begin walking more than 5,000 kilometres down the entire West Coast of Australia, from Kalumburu in the Kimberley to Albany on the south coast, raising funds for the Black Dog Institute and continuing a mission that began during my 5,500 km East Coast walk in 2022.
That journey taught me something powerful. The kilometres mattered, but the real journey was in the conversations along the road. In small towns, on farms, in roadhouses and school halls, people began sharing the mental health journeys they had been carrying quietly for years.
The West Coast walk is about continuing those conversations.
Over the course of the expedition I will aim to deliver 100 school presentations, 100 community talks, and raise $100,000 for the Black Dog Institute, while travelling through some of the most remote parts of the country with my assistance dog Rusty.
Mental illness affects so many Australians, yet in regional and remote communities support can still feel far away. Long distances, stigma and limited services mean many people continue to struggle in silence.
My hope is that by walking through these communities and sharing honest conversations about mental health, we can make it a little easier for people to talk about what they are going through and to seek help when they need it.
Every donation made here goes directly to the Black Dog Institute to support research, education and treatment programs that save lives.
