G'day Me Old Beans,
Well as most of you can probably agree, Covid-19 times have been a big bag of balls...
About a month back, it occurred to me that it had been over a decade since I had a month of sobriety... 10 years!!!
My common "go to" on the weekend has been a rather large Friday night, followed by possibly another large night and all the bad habits that succeed...
Most 38 year old males will probably concur, that these "good old days" are not sustainable on a weekly basis at this age and can only lead one way...
Extra kegs, a three day debilitating hangover, lack of motivation and in many cases, a dose of the old "black dog".
Rinse, repeat...
It's the above habit that has pushed me to take a break from the grog over the last month and I'm feeling fantastic.
However, I'm now adding another month of sobriety to my quest and am adding a further step to my cause by challenging myself to run 100 kms within the next month.
All I ask is for a small donation if you indeed want to back me in...
