Doing ‘All Good’ Things, in memory of Brian Hermon.

Thursday 16th Sep

Almost half of all Australian adults will face mental ill-health during their lives with suicide being the number 1 cause of death for people aged between 15 and 44 in Australia. Research Matters.

Earlier this year, our hearts crumbled when we lost Brain… A great friend, cousin, son and bro.

Brian loved adventure, adrenaline, the beach, the water, fun & laughter with those he loved and those who were lucky enough to cross his path. Brian also battled crippling depression and anxiety.

Brian was loved by family and friends from all over the world and was a determined to leave no stone unturned in overcoming the debilitating effects of depression and anxiety that had taken over his fun loving, carefree life. This wasn’t to be.

For those who were lucky enough to have had Brian in their lives, we will remember our amazing experiences, the fun, the laughter and happy times we shared.

In honour of Brian and one of his biggest loves, a team of family, friends and supporters are taking on ‘Eagle Bay Epic Adventure Race’. An adventure race that will see us mountain bike, ocean swim, kayak and trail run through the beautiful Meelup Regional Park and Geographe Bay on 6-7 November 2021.

We strive to slash stigmas surrounding mental ill-health, while looking after our own mental health, through connecting with others in a physical (and mental) challenge far outside our comfort zones. In return, we will be raising vital funds for the ‘Black Dog Institute’, in the hope we can help others.

We invite you to join us in supporting the Black Dog Institute’s mission to achieve a mentally healthier world for all through understanding, diagnosis and management of mental illnesses and in particular, suicide.
