Help me create a mentally healthier world!
On March 5th ill be participating in the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge. I will be running 4 miles (6.5kms) every 4 hours over the course of 48hours.I am honoured to take on this challenge to support those who need it. For this challenge i am raising money for The Black Dog Institute. This cause is very important to me. I myself have have battled bouts of depression over the years, where i am forever thankful to have had the support i needed to climb back into the light and be on top of it. There is nothing wrong with needing a helping hand and Black Dog Institute along with many others is that helping hand.
Mental illness affects 1 in 5 Australians every year, with the most common being depression and anxiety. Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects people from all walks of life — individuals, families, workplaces and communities.
We all know someone who suffers or has suffered from a mental illness. Your donations will directly support innovative prevention programs,educating the public about risk factors,warning signs and supporting those people in need!
