5OK? : Running 50km For Mental Health
On July 10th I will be running an Ultra Trail Marathon (52km bush run) to raise awareness and funds for The Black Dog Institute.
45% of Australians will experience mental illness at some stage in their life. The Black Dog Institute is a leader of extensive research in mental health and provides resources, programs, and platforms to support our community’s mental health. This is a charity I care deeply about as I have been on the receiving end of their work.
If you feel led to donate, your donation will go towards:
Research into Suicide prevention and clinical treatment.
Expanding education programs to reach more communities, schools and health professionals.
App & website development to serve as real-time mental health management tools so people struggling with depression, anxiety and stress can gain support.
