Seamus Marron Memorial Game 2025

By Seamus Marron Memorial Game

3 YEARS

Help me make it meaningful

In 2021, we unfortunately lost a former player, supporter of our club and a friend named Seamus Marron to suicide.

Seamus was in his mid-30’s, with a wife and two young children and had been struggling with mental health issues (discreetly) for a number of years.

The Marron family are a very well-known family at our club and in the northern suburbs.

We came up with the idea to create an Annual Memorial game to raise awareness (and some money for) Mental Health.

We will be holding this year's event on the 1st of March, 2025 and as part of this day, we thought it would be a good opportunity to create a past players game, Playford vs Para Hills as a curtain raiser to the 1st team game. The past players game kicks off at 5:30pm with the First Team game kicking off at 7:00pm

Cam Cooney

Wish I could be there, next year I’ll make the trip and bring my boots (put me on the list Frankie). Can’t not have a Cooney in a game celebrating the life of someone we appreciate so much in our family. SPM14 Thanks for being a club of the community, Playford. 💚
