Help us create a mentally healthier world!

With another lock down in Melbourne I have teamed up with Black Dog Institute to support mental illness research and prevention tools.

Black Dog particularly stood out to me because of its aim to focus on research as well as providing a helpline support services.

The Challenge is a 4-mile run (6.5km) every 4 hours for 48 hours, which will total to just under 2 marathons in 2 days. Having a much stronger swimming background, I was planning on doing a swim. However, due to lockdown and water being too cold in open water I decided to run. As I'm getting ready for the run, all my progress can be found on Strava or the fundraising page. The actual run will also be recorded and posted too at the end of August.

Thanks for everyone's support, whether you share this with your friends or provide a donation.

Let's Get Running

Monday 27th Jul
In preparation for the 4x4x48 Challenge I have started to run for around 8-10km every day. This is my second week of consistent training for it, so I have stepped up my kms by about 2km every second day. For me 10km not too bad as I have been running at quite a comfortable pace.

We will start the actual challenge at 8am on 29th August. So until then, our goal is to raise as much as we can for Mental Health research and support services through Black Dog!
