Help me make it meaningful
When I was 19 I lost my sister to suicide. At the time I knew nothing about mental health. Not a single thing.
I spent a lot of years bouncing around until I finally pulled myself back to a place I can be proud of. It took a lot of work within to get here.
All those years I felt helpless and I thought there’s nothing I can do.
In 2023 I decided to take some action and do my part. I raised 28 thousand dollars for the Black Dog Institute by running a marathon in Antarctica.
Ever since that point I realised actually there’s a lot I can do and in 2024 I want to raise 100 thousand dollars by running 100km a day for 10 days from Bondi beach in Sydney to St Kilda beach in Melbourne.
This is by far the hardest challenge I’ve ever attempted.
I’ve done a marathon a day for 7 days, 100km ultra, marathon in Antarctica and completed Ultraman Australia and none of them stack up to this challenge.
I hope to inspire others on this journey to take action and work towards the causes they believe in.
My family should have never lost a member to suicide and neither should another family in this country, let alone the world.
