Mental illness doesn’t discriminate. It affects one in five Australians every year, often emerging through conditions such as depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating — not only for those experiencing it, but also for families, friends and communities who support them.
Within our club, many members have faced their own mental health challenges or have close connections to family and friends who continue to navigate these battles every day. It’s an issue that touches our community deeply.
That’s why St Georges Basin Bowling Club is hosting a dedicated fundraising event in support of the Black Dog Institute. Every dollar raised will help fund vital mental health research and support services that make a real and lasting difference for Australians affected by mental illness and suicide.
Together, we can create a meaningful moment for mental health and contribute to a cause that truly matters.
