I just want to say how bloody proud I am to call these people my family ❤️ Today is the FINAL day, and probably one of the hardest stretches yet. The mission is to get from Walpole, through Denmark and all the way home to Albany by around 5:30pm. And of course, the weather has decided it isn’t going to make their final day easy either 😅 It’s absolutely pouring with rain. My windscreen wipers can barely keep up driving behind them, the hills through Denmark are going to be brutal and they are absolutely freezing… but somehow the spirits are still so high ❤️ But the crazy thing is, this isn’t just today’s weather. Every single day since they started this ride they have dealt with rain and hail. They’ve had a few tiny bits of sunshine here and there, but honestly, not bloody many 😂 They’ve ridden gravel roads. They’ve ridden bitumen roads. They’ve damaged their bikes. They’ve broken things. They’ve even managed to crash into each other 😂🤦♀️ Their bodies are hurting, their bikes have definitely been put through their paces and Mother Nature has thrown just about everything she can at them. But you know what? They’re still going. And they’re still going SO strong. ❤️ They came prepared, they’ve dealt with every little setback that’s been thrown at them and they’ve just kept pushing forward. Last year Flynn and Jacob walked from Perth to Albany in ONE WEEK for mental health. This year, apparently that wasn’t enough of a challenge 😂 so they’ve jumped on bicycles and taken on Mandurah to Albany. And today is the final push home. ❤️ Flynn and Jacob, I am honestly so unbelievably proud of you both. And of course Ronnie, their dad, who has been right there alongside them supporting them through it all. And I have to give a mention to my big brother Zac ❤️ Only around 8 months ago he came out of a coma… and today he’s out there taking on the Walpole to Albany stretch with the boys. seeing him out there today pushing through the rain, cold and those horrible hills makes me so incredibly proud. I got to see them this morning, even if it was only for a brief moment, and I honestly can’t explain how proud I felt. You can tell they’re hurting. They’re definitely feeling every kilometre they’ve already done. They’re cold, they’re sore and they’re exhausted. But they’re STILL laughing. They’re still joking around. They’re still cracking jokes and showing me all the places they’re hurting 😂 They’re still smiling. And they’re still pushing forward. That says absolutely everything about these boys. ❤️ The amount raised this year might be less than last year, but every single cent counts. Because this was never just about a number. It’s about mental health. It’s about starting conversations. It’s about showing people that they’re not alone. It’s about making a difference, even if that difference is only for one person. Flynn and Jacob might only be two people, but boy are they making a difference in this world. ❤️ Seeing everyone get behind them, ride alongside them, support them, donate, share their journey and cheer them on makes me so proud to call them my family. They’ve battled rain, hail, gravel, hills, crashes, broken bikes, sore bodies and everything else this ride has thrown at them. And now there’s only ONE LAST PUSH. Walpole ➡️ Denmark ➡️ ALBANY 🏁 Then they can finally get home, put their feet up, have the most well-deserved beer of their lives 🍻 and RELAX. Well… at least until next year when they inevitably come up with another crazy bloody idea 😂❤️ I cannot WAIT to see you all cross that finish line in Albany today. I’m so incredibly proud of you Flynn, Jacob, Ronnie and my big brother Zac. More than I could ever put into words. You’ve made your families proud. You’ve made everyone following along proud. And most importantly, you’re doing something that actually means something. One last push boys. You’re nearly home. ❤️ BRING IT HOME TO ALBANY!!! 🚴♂️🚴♂️🏁❤️

To all the incredible boys out there raising awareness and Funds I just wanted to send a message to say how much I admire and appreciate what you are doing. Seeing you out there riding your bikes through rain, hail and some absolutely horrible weather, all to raise awareness and funds for the Black Dog Foundation, is pretty incredible. You could have chosen to stay warm and dry, but instead you’re out there pushing yourselves for something that matters. Mental health is a subject extremely close to my heart, both personally and through my family and my career working in mental health. In particular, men’s mental health is something I feel incredibly strongly about. Too many men still feel like they have to stay quiet, tough it out, or deal with things on their own. Every kilometre you ride, every conversation you start and every person who sees what you’re doing helps challenge that. You may never know how many people your journey reaches. There could be someone watching your story who is struggling silently, and seeing a group of blokes willing to stand up and say that mental health matters might just be what encourages them to speak up or ask for help. So from myself and my family, thank you. Thank you for braving the cold, the rain and the hail. Thank you for putting your bodies through it. Thank you for raising funds, but most importantly, thank you for raising awareness and creating conversations that desperately need to be had. Keep those wheels turning, boys. 🚲💙 What you're doing matters far beyond the kilometres you ride. You should all be incredibly proud.
