Help me make it meaningful
On the 7th of August 2025, my brother and I will begin a multi-day run for mental health. Between 5-7 days from Armadale Hills to Albany.
Each night during the run, we’ll take time to read aloud and share as many stories as we can — shared by people who’ve walked their own hard road with mental health. Some stories will be read by me, others by my brother. All of them will be carried with respect and heart.
If you have something to share, we’d be honoured to hear it.
We’d love to hear:
• What you’ve been through
• What you’ve learned
• Who helped you
• And what you wish others knew — whether they’re still struggling or trying to support someone who is.
This isn’t just about a run. The journey is about community, connection, and courage. It’s about reminding people they’re not alone — and that healing, though hard, is possible.
Every voice matters. Every step counts.
This run is for all of us. For those still fighting. For those who made it through. For those who just need to be heard.
Let’s walk — and run — this hard road together.

The Hard Road
Thursday 3rd Jul The Hard RoadJacob & Flynn’s Run for Mental Health.
Alongside my brother Flynn, I’m running around 400 km from Armadale to Albany, this will take roughly 5–7 days — to give a voice to those who feel like they’ve lost theirs.
Every day in Australia, more than 8 people die by suicide. It’s the leading cause of death for people aged 15 to 44. And for every life lost, countless more are struggling in silence.
In the past few years, we’ve seen far too many people close to us make that heartbreaking decision. Life is getting harder, and people are feeling more desperate. We want to help change that — by speaking up, showing up, and pushing through together.
We’ve set a goal to raise $10,000 for the Black Dog Institute — a leader in mental health research, support, and suicide prevention. Every dollar helps fund programs that can save lives and bring hope to those who need it most.
If you’re reading this, please know: you matter. You’re not alone. And there is always a reason to stay.
This is The Hard Road — but together, we can make it a little easier for someone else.
