In it together
My life is pretty good, there is no doubting that. But I definitely have days that it doesn't always feel like it. Fortunately I am surrounded by a group of very supportive people who are always there to talk if I need it. I have seen first hand the work the Black Dog Institute does in a variety of areas, for me it was an easy decision to jump onboard and support this organisation in whatever capacity I could. I know talking is not easy, but everyone should know that they are loved and not alone in this world.
1 in 5 of us will experience symptoms of mental illness in any given year. In Australia that’s around 5 million people. And roughly 60% of these people won’t seek help.
Until the end of September, accompanied by some of my good mates at the Coogee Dolphins football club, I will be sporting a mullet and raising funds to show support for mental health research.
Please donate as much or as little as you can and support my mullet and empower everyone in Australia to look after their mental health.
