A successful journey

Thursday 13th Mar
Well I made it to Dubbo! It was a big 2 weeks on the road, travelling from Sydney to the start of the ride in Melbourne, supporting the crew up to Canberra (with a few bike k’s snuck in along the way!) then completing the ride from Canberra to Dubbo! 490kms across 3 days was a big effort for my first multi day event, we were lucky to have the weather (mostly) on our side 😁 still felt strong towards the end, so I’m planning to complete the full Zoo2Zoo experience riding from Melbourne in 2026! The event as a whole was fantastic, it was so nice to finally ride with some of the Zoo2Zoo veterans, and meet a few newbies like myself! We ended up raising over $60000 for the Black Dog Institute, which we could not have done without your help! Thank you again for all your support, and see you in Melbourne in 2026 ☺️💪🏼

Reached the sponsorship goal!

Monday 17th Feb
Thank you to all of my amazing sponsors for helping me achieve my sponsorship goal! I finished out last week with 227km ridden and a 72km out and back ride to Cape Solander. 1.5 weeks to go until we start making our way down to Melbourne for the first leg of the Zoo2Zoo, 2.5 weeks to go until my ride begins in Canberra! More work to do yet 💪🏼

3 weeks to go 😬

Thursday 13th Feb
A quiet on-call week and some rainy days in Sydney has meant hitting the indoor trainer and working on some climbing workouts 😅 135km already ridden this week, and planning a big ride for the weekend!

Zoo2Zoo - 1 month out!

Friday 7th Feb
After two years watching from the sidelines, and supporting the other amazing cyclists completing the Zoo2Zoo cycling event from Melbourne to Canberra, and onwards to Dubbo, the time has come for my first attempt at a multi-day cycling event!

Once again I’ll be supporting the group from Melbourne Zoo to Canberra Zoo over 6 days and 885km, but this time I’ll be jumping on the bike and completing the 3 day, 480km leg from Canberra Zoo to Dubbo Zoo to finish out the event.

I will be saddling up to raise funds for mental health research, in support of the Black Dog Institute, and riding in memory of Mark Heanly, who was so passionate about the Zoo2Zoo, its riders, and riding for a great cause ❤️.

With a month to go, I still have many K’s to ride, and many hills to climb, and any donations towards a great cause would be greatly appreciated.
