The Hardest Footrace in the World...For Mental Health Research
Mental illness doesn’t discriminate – it affects 1 in 5 Australians every year with symptoms like depression and anxiety. The impact can be devastating, not only for those living with it, but for those around them.
The RLT Adventure Team are a group of Sydney mates on a mission to raise funds and awareness for the Black Dog Institute whilst embarking on some of the worlds hardest and most ridiculous challenges.
In 2018, they set an Australian record for the fastest ever human powered crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, rowing 3000 miles from Europe to the Caribbean in just under 35 days.
In April of 2024, they will undertake the Marathon Des Sables. Labelled "The World's Hardest Footrace" the MDS is a gruelling six Marathons in five days, self-supported across the Sahara Desert.
