130km and 13 Peaks of the Glasshouse MTNS

Help me make it meaningful

Hi, my name is Max.

I’m 19 years old, and on the 19th of September I’ll be running 130km through the Glass House Mountains, climbing all 13 peaks in a single effort.

Running has become a huge passion of mine, especially ultra-distance events. I fully committed to ultrarunning when I was 17 after placing second in the Kokoda Challenge 48km. From there, I was hooked. I went on to run 100km before I’d even completed a marathon, raising money for kids with cancer. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but it showed me what was possible.

Since then, I’ve completed multiple 50km and 100km ultras, always chasing the next challenge. For a long time, I’d had the idea of climbing all 13 peaks of the Glass House Mountains. Then I thought, “Why not do them all in one go?” So that’s exactly what I’m doing.

This run is about more than just covering 130km. It’s about starting conversations around mental health. In today’s world, with the pressure of social media and the tendency for so many people—especially men—to bottle up their feelings, it’s more important than ever to remind each other that it’s okay to speak up and ask for help.

Whether you come to support, join me for a climb, run a section, or simply stop for a chat, I’d love to see you out there. Together, let’s get the conversation going and remind people that no one has to struggle alone.
